Leicestershire regain points from Bollywood pitch deduction

Original: County Championship: Leicestershire have eight points reinstated from 27-point deduction for poor pitch blamed on Bollywood film shoot

Leicestershire have had eight of their 27-point County Championship deduction reinstated following an appeal over a poor pitch at Grace Road. The club had been penalised after the substandard surface, which the club blamed in part on a Bollywood film shoot that damaged the square. The ruling partly eases a sanction that had badly hurt their season.

Why now: An unusual points appeal ruling combining cricket regulation and a film production dispute has just been announced
