A Japanese entertainment ranking of celebrities whose Okinawa origins surprise fans is drawing attention, with actress Yui Aragaki, a well-known Okinawa native, finishing second by a wide margin. The unnamed first-place finisher is being discussed as the celebrity people least expect to be from Okinawa Prefecture.

Why now: The claim that someone outranked Yui Aragaki, the most famous Okinawa-born celebrity, is surprising to Japanese entertainment fans.
