Energy Secretary Says Trump Knew Gas Prices Would Rise
Original: chris wright
Energy Secretary Chris Wright says President Trump anticipated that gas prices would rise, remarks that are drawing attention as Americans watch fuel costs at the pump. The admission puts a spotlight on the administration's energy policy and its messaging about prices, with critics likely to seize on it while supporters argue the increases were an accepted trade-off.
Why now: Rising gas prices are a pressing consumer issue, and a cabinet secretary's admission that the president expected the increase is politically explosive.
