US pulls all bombers out of RAF Fairford
Original: US removes all bombers from RAF Fairford back to home stations
The United States has withdrawn all bombers deployed to RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, saying in a statement that the aircraft have been redeployed to their home stations in the US. The base has regularly hosted US strategic bomber rotations, and the removal ends the current deployment, prompting questions about the timing and what it means for NATO operations.
Why now: The withdrawal of US strategic bombers from a key UK base is a notable shift in military posture that people are discussing amid current tensions with Russia.

No reason has been given for the withdrawal, but it follows a major incident last week when police were alerted to "suspicious vehicles" near the airbase.
