The Wall Street Journal reports that Flávio Bolsonaro, son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, has moved ahead of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in Brazil's election contest, setting up a likely runoff between the two. The development points to a sharply polarised race, with the Bolsonaro family's political strength challenging the incumbent's re-election prospects.
Why now: A new poll or surge showing Bolsonaro's son overtaking Brazil's president signals a major shake-up in an upcoming national election.
