Democratic congressman says administration lacks strategy in Iran war
Original: Democratic rep: Administration ‘has failed to present a strategy’ in Iran war
A Democratic member of Congress has accused the administration of failing to present any clear strategy for the war involving Iran. The lawmaker's criticism adds to growing pressure from within Congress for the White House to explain its objectives, timeline and endgame in the conflict. The charge that no strategy has been presented is likely to fuel debate over congressional oversight of military action.
Why now: Lawmakers and the public are pressing the administration to justify and explain its approach to the Iran conflict.
