ASTA Petitions American Express Over Advisor Bookings of Card Perks
Original: ASTA petitions American Express to reinstate advisor bookings of cardholder perks
The American Society of Travel Advisors is petitioning American Express to reinstate travel advisors' ability to book cardholder perks on behalf of clients. The request concerns Amex benefits tied to cardholders, which advisors say should be accessible when bookings are made through them. The group argues restoring access supports both advisors and card members who rely on professional travel planning.
Why now: The travel advisor community is pressing American Express over policy changes that affect how cardholder perks can be booked.
