A Japanese tech report summarizes features expected to be missing from the rumored "iPhone Duo", including Face ID and a telephoto lens, suggesting Apple may position it as a device mainly for enjoying media rather than a full flagship. Readers are debating whether the stripped-down spec list will matter to buyers and how it fits into Apple's lineup alongside its main iPhones.
Why now: Fresh speculation about a cheaper, simplified iPhone is fueling debate over whether Apple should release a device without Face ID or advanced cameras.
