Trump Announces Super Intelligence Force Task Force
Original: Trump Launches Super Intelligence Force Task Force
Donald Trump has announced the creation of what he calls a 'Super Intelligence Force' task force. The announcement, made through his own channels, frames the new body as an effort to centralise and accelerate US intelligence capabilities. Details about its mandate, staffing and oversight remain thin, and analysts are questioning what powers the task force would actually hold.
Why now: A sweeping new intelligence initiative announced by a former and likely future president naturally draws intense scrutiny and debate.
