Inflammatory claim about immigrant groups circulates online
Original: Every problem demographic group in Europe is a lower quality variant than the ones that make it here. Except maybe somal
A social media user has claimed that migrant groups causing problems in Europe are of 'lower quality' than those in the United States, singling out Somalians as a possible exception. The remark is overtly derogatory towards immigrant communities and is drawing attention for its blunt framing of migration debates comparing European and American immigration patterns.
Why now: Migration and integration of immigrant communities remain highly contested topics, and such inflammatory comparisons between Europe and the US provoke strong reactions.
