A longtime Air Supply listener has voiced disappointment with the duo's new album, saying the Australian soft rock act should have "left well enough alone" after their 1980s heyday. They called the record sad overall, though they singled out one track, "Lovers", as pretty good. The complaint reflects the familiar tension around legacy acts releasing new material decades after their peak.
Why now: A newly released Air Supply album has prompted reactions from nostalgic fans of the 1980s duo.
Evidence
- Man, so disappointed by the new Air Supply album. They should really have left well enough alone. I was an Air Supply sappy sucker in the 1980s. This new album is sad. Well, everything except “Lovers”, that track was pretty good. # music # AirSupply · drahardja@sfba.social · 2
