Australian Greens criticised for weak stance on Ukraine

The Lowy Institute has published a scathing assessment accusing the Australian Greens of backing away from Ukraine. The article argues the party has effectively abandoned a democracy under Russian attack, a criticism likely aimed at the Greens' positions on defence spending and military support for Kyiv. The piece frames the party's stance as a failure of principle on a defining international issue.
