Combining solar farms with rewilding to restore biodiversity
Original: https:// rewilding.academy/agriwilding/ rewilding-solar-farmland-how-agrivoltaics-and-agriwilding-restore-biodiversity/
Supporters of agrivoltaics argue that pairing solar panels with agriwilding practices can turn farmland from monoculture or clear-cut land into genuinely richer habitat. The approach is presented as a practical upgrade for biodiversity and clean energy at once, rather than a pristine wilderness. Discussion is circulating among environment, energy and climate audiences.
Why now: Growing interest in land-sharing solutions that combine renewable energy deployment with biodiversity restoration.
