Jets Mocked Online After Lopsided Loss to Bears
Original: ‘Our Week 4 Super Bowl,’ ‘No Tougher Job in NY Sports’ — Jets’ ‘4 Straight Plays, 26 Yards’ Post Gets Roasted in 492-157 Loss to Bears
The New York Jets are being ridiculed after a lopsided defeat to the Chicago Bears in which they were outgained 492 yards to 157. Fans seized on a team post highlighting a drive of four straight plays covering 26 yards, mocking it with lines like 'our Week 4 Super Bowl' and 'no tougher job in NY sports.' The one-sided stat line and the tone-deaf social media messaging made the Jets the league's laughingstock of the day.
Why now: The Jets' terrible performance plus an ill-judged team post invited widespread ridicule from fans and media
