NFL reviewing report of official swearing at player
Original: Reports: NFL looking into official’s apparent profanity at player
The NFL is reportedly investigating an incident in which a game official appears to have directed profanity at a player, according to Reuters reporting. No details have been released about which game, official or player was involved, or whether any disciplinary action could follow. League reviews of conduct by on-field officials are rare and typically draw close attention from fans and media.
Why now: People are talking about it because conduct by NFL officials is rarely scrutinised publicly, making the reported investigation notable.
