The UAE marked two milestones as its Altair-1 spacecraft reached orbit and the Technology Innovation Institute's asteroid probe was shipped for its mission. The developments are being framed as evidence that the Emirates is positioning its space programme as a commercial venture, building on earlier successes such as the Hope Mars probe to attract contracts and international partnerships.
