Gang rips ATMs out of two Sicily banks overnight

A gang of six men tore cash machines out of two banks in Sicily overnight: branches of Monte dei Paschi di Siena and Banca Agricola Popolare di Sicilia. The brazen overnight raids, in which the machines were physically ripped out rather than emptied on site, are drawing attention as Italian police work to identify and track down those responsible.
Why now: The boldness of a six-man gang ripping out entire ATMs from two bank branches in one night is striking news.
