Norfolk housing levy flawed, say environmental groups
Original: Norfolk housing levy idea is flawed, say environmental groups
Environmental groups in Norfolk argue that a proposed housing levy is flawed and would not adequately address the environmental impact of new development in the county. The criticism comes as local authorities weigh how to fund infrastructure and mitigation for planned housing growth. Details of the levy and the groups' specific objections have not yet been fully set out.
Why now: Debate is active over how Norfolk should fund environmental mitigation amid ongoing housing growth plans.
