The ICC has postponed plans for a proposed World Club Championship after opposition from cricket's 'Big Three' nations. England, Australia and India argued the international calendar leaves no room for additional events, forcing the governing body to shelve the proposal for now, according to an exclusive report by Matt Hughes.
Why now: The Board of Control for Cricket in India and other powerful boards have effectively blocked a new global club competition, reigniting debate over their influence over world cricket.
