Cadena COPE draws listeners with live news coverage

Original: cope directo

Spanish radio station Cadena COPE is attracting attention with its live ('directo') coverage of the day's biggest stories. Its coverage spans a rare storm battering Catalonia that left two dead and caused historic flooding, Real Sociedad's strong form heading into the Basque derby, and coach Beñat San José saying his team need goals to advance despite good control of games.

Why now: Listeners are turning to COPE's live programming as an unusual storm in Catalonia and big football fixtures dominate the Spanish news agenda.
