Israel bans UK Green Party leader Zack Polanski

Original: Israel decided Sunday to bar the leader of the Green Party of England and Wales from entering the country after his part

Israel has barred Zack Polanski, leader of the Green Party of England and Wales, from entering the country. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar ordered the ban after Polanski's party adopted a policy declaring Zionism a form of racism. The move has drawn criticism from supporters who view it as silencing British political figures over Israel-Palestine positions.

Why now: A foreign government banning a sitting UK party leader over his party's Zionism policy is a striking diplomatic and political flashpoint
