Fourteen-year-old Fuad woke early on Saturday at his father's home in Gaza to prepare for school when he learned that his mother, Mary Abu Dawud, and grandmother, Maysaa, had been killed in an Israeli air strike on their apartment in western Gaza City. Accounts highlighting the deaths describe the family's loss as another example of civilians killed in strikes on residential buildings.
