Oscar Puente at centre of Spanish political skirmishes

Original: óscar puente

Spain's transport minister Oscar Puente is making headlines on two fronts. The Popular Party launched its pre-campaign with a video mocking a sprain injury Puente suffered, quipping that he was the one afraid. Meanwhile, Puente used Málaga mayor Francisco de la Torre's words on housing to attack Alberto Núñez Feijóo, saying the conservative leader looks like Nosferatu by comparison. The exchanges add to escalating tensions ahead of a possible early election.

Why now: Rising political confrontation in Spain ahead of a possible snap election called by Pedro Sánchez.
