Original: Nepali Congress 15th General Convention begins closed session across three venues
Nepal's main opposition party, the Nepali Congress, has begun the closed session of its 15th General Convention, held across three venues. The closed-door meetings are where delegates debate resolutions, elect office-bearers and shape the party's leadership and direction, making this a key moment in the country's largest political party. Attention is on internal rivalries and who will emerge in top posts.
Why now: The Nepali Congress's convention will decide its leadership, with implications for Nepal's national politics.
