Russia says it struck two Ukrainian cargo vessels in Black Sea

Original: 🇷🇺 Russia says it struck two Ukrainian cargo vessels in the Black Sea MOSCOW, Oct 5 - The Russian defence ministry said

Russia's defence ministry said on Monday its forces struck two Ukrainian cargo vessels in the Black Sea, targeting fuel storage facilities at the port of Chornomorsk. The announcement adds to ongoing strikes on Ukrainian port and shipping infrastructure, which Kyiv and its partners say threaten civilian shipping and grain exports in the region. Ukraine has not confirmed the details as reported by Moscow.

Why now: Fresh claims of attacks on Black Sea shipping heighten concerns about grain exports and escalation in the war.
