Posts are recalling Raphael Mechoulam, the Israeli chemist born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1930 who died in Jerusalem in March 2023. Mechoulam, often called the father of cannabis research, was the first to isolate THC and identify the body's endocannabinoid system, earning numerous awards over his decades-long career.
