Russian Projectile Hits Bus at Moldova-Ukraine Border Crossing
A Russian projectile struck a bus at a Moldova-Ukraine border crossing, according to reports circulating online. The incident occurred amid ongoing Russian strikes near Ukraine's western border regions, which have repeatedly raised concerns about spillover into neighbouring Moldova. The crossing is a key route for people and goods leaving Ukraine, and the reported hit has drawn attention to the risks facing civilians and border infrastructure in the area.
Why now: News of a projectile reaching a border crossing with an EU-adjacent non-NATO country heightens fears the war is spilling over into Moldova.
