Milwaukee Brewers third base coach Matt Erickson says the remarkable part of the roof ball hit during last night's game is not the play itself, but that the home plate umpire described the exact scenario during the pregame lineup card exchange. Erickson, speaking to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy, said umpires flagging such a rare play in advance almost never happens.

Why now: A rare fly ball striking the stadium roof, plus the umpire's uncanny pregame warning, made for an unusual story circulating among baseball fans.
