Original: CPD Sergeant Who Led Botched Raid at Home of Anjanette Young Now Working as a Suburban Police Detective
The Chicago police sergeant who led the wrongful raid on Anjanette Young's home in 2019, during which she was handcuffed naked while officers searched the wrong address, is now employed as a detective with a suburban police department. The news has renewed criticism of how the city and police leadership handled accountability for the raid, which was captured on video and prompted widespread outrage and calls for reform.
Why now: Renewed outrage that the officer responsible faced no lasting consequences and continues policing elsewhere
