Original: Burhan gains regional boost as Egypt backs Sudan’s state institutions
Sudanese army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan has received a regional boost after Egypt voiced support for Sudan's state institutions. The backing from Cairo strengthens Burhan's position as Sudan remains locked in conflict with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, and signals Egypt's continued alignment with the Sudanese armed forces and official state bodies.
