Panto return planned for Raac-affected theatre
A theatre forced to close because of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (Raac) in its structure is planning to bring back its pantomime, according to a BBC report. The announcement suggests restoration or safety work has progressed far enough to stage performances again, welcome news for local audiences and the venue's finances.
Why now: Pantomime is a treasured seasonal tradition, so news of its return after a Raac closure will resonate with local audiences concerned about the theatre's future.
