Online debate pits science against religion over cochlear implants
Original: Theists: # Science produced cochlear implants, enabling many to hear for the first time. What has God done lately? _____
An online challenge aimed at religious believers is circulating, arguing that science, not God, deserves credit for cochlear implants that let many deaf people hear for the first time. The post asks theists to name what God has done lately, framing medical technology as evidence for a science-versus-faith argument, with atheism hashtags attached.
Why now: Religion-versus-science provocations reliably spark arguments between atheists and believers on social media.
