Film and music fans return to CDs, DVDs and vinyl

Original: Racheter des CD, DVD et vinyles pour échapper aux algorithmes de recommandation. Des fans de films et séries reviennent

Film and series fans are buying CDs, DVDs and vinyl again to escape recommendation algorithms. They want to own their content outright rather than depend on a subscription that can disappear or on a catalogue that changes without notice. The renewed interest in physical media is being discussed as a way to keep control over what people watch and listen to, away from streaming platforms.

Why now: Growing frustration with streaming services and algorithmic recommendations is driving renewed interest in owning physical media.
