Airbnb launches car rentals across Brazilian cities
Original: airbnb
Airbnb has started renting out cars in Brazil, with the service now available in around 300 cities across the country. Brazilian media outlets are explaining how the new feature works and noting that it intensifies competition in the tourism sector, as the platform best known for accommodation expands into ground transport for travelers.
Why now: The unexpected launch of car rentals in 300 Brazilian cities is big news for travelers and disrupts the local tourism and rental market.
