Google Maps has introduced a feature that lets users make their in-app navigation icon resemble a McLaren F1, the legendary 1990s supercar. Google is known for adding playful themed icons and vehicle options to Maps, and the update is drawing attention from fans of the car and of the app alike, who are trying the new skin out on their drives.
Why now: Google Maps frequently adds fun, limited-time themed features, and a McLaren F1 icon taps into nostalgia and novelty for drivers and car fans.
