Karoline Leavitt, President Trump's former White House press secretary nicknamed his 'machine gun' for her combative briefings, has landed a new position at Fox News. The New York Times reports the move marks her return to television, where she worked before joining the Trump administration. The appointment is drawing attention as a sign of the continuing overlap between Trump's political circle and conservative media.
Why now: The revolving door between Trump's inner circle and Fox News is a recurring point of media and political debate.
