Estonia adopts 'active defense' doctrine, moves brigade near Russian border

Estonia is shifting its military posture to what it calls 'active defense' in response to the growing threat from Russia, including relocating a brigade closer to the Russian border. The move underscores how Baltic states are hardening their defenses and preparing to respond immediately to any incursion rather than waiting for NATO reinforcements.
Why now: Concerns about a possible Russian attack on NATO's eastern flank are driving European security debate.
