A shared post by journalist Mehdi Hasan is drawing sharp reactions, with users accusing Western governments and media of gaslighting and rewriting history to shield Israel from criticism. The sarcastic comment suggests anyone engaging with the history being discussed risks being labelled a Jew-hating terrorist, reflecting frustration over how debate about Israel and Palestine is policed in the West.

Why now: Ongoing anger over Israel-Palestine debate and claims of historical revisionism in Western coverage.
