Ukraine says Russian drones sank Turkish ship
Original: Ukraine says Russian drones behind Turkish ship sinking
Ukraine says Russian naval drones were responsible for the sinking of a Turkish ship in the Black Sea. The claim, reported by DW, puts the blame for the incident squarely on Moscow and is likely to strain relations and raise questions about shipping safety in the region. Details about the vessel, casualties and Turkey's response have not yet been confirmed.
Why now: A claimed attack on a Turkish vessel would mark a serious escalation affecting Black Sea shipping and Turkey's position in the war.
