Zelenskyy says Kyiv will step up oil refinery attacks

Original: volodymyr zelenskyy

Ukraine plans to increase strikes on Russian oil refineries in response to Moscow's winter strategy targeting Ukrainian energy infrastructure, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. The announcement, reported by the Guardian in its Ukraine war briefing, signals an escalation of long-range attacks on Russian oil facilities as both sides seek to disrupt each other's energy supplies during the cold months.

Why now: Ongoing escalation of the Ukraine war and strikes on Russian energy infrastructure keeps Zelenskyy in the headlines.
