Gaza Documentary 'NAZA' Prompts IDF Counter-Film
Original: Gaza Documentary ‘NAZA’ Sparks IDF Counter Film to Rebut Venice Winner # MovieNews # Movies # Documentaries # Documentar
The Gaza documentary 'NAZA', a winner at the Venice Film Festival, has prompted the Israel Defense Forces to produce a counter-film intended to rebut its account. The Hollywood Reporter reports the project as part of the ongoing information battle around the Israel-Gaza conflict. The move is drawing attention in film and news circles, raising questions about narrative control, wartime documentation and the role of cinema in shaping international opinion about the war.
Why now: The IDF producing an official rebuttal to an award-winning Venice documentary is an unusual escalation in the propaganda battle over Gaza.
