Developer builds free PDF tools that never upload files
Original: A few months ago I got annoyed at the state of free PDF tools: upload your file, wait, download it... # pdf # privacy #
A developer frustrated with free online PDF tools that require uploading documents to a server has released a suite of 21 free PDF tools that process files entirely locally, built on a $0 budget. The approach targets privacy-conscious users who don't want sensitive documents leaving their device, and the project is being shared within open source and web development communities.
Why now: Growing concern about privacy when using free online tools that require uploading personal files
