Google Maps adds McLaren F1 icon for drivers
Original: Google Maps now lets you turn your car into a McLaren F1
Google Maps has added a new option that lets users display their navigation arrow as the iconic McLaren F1 supercar. The feature lets drivers swap the standard vehicle icon for the famous 1990s McLaren while navigating. Google regularly updates Maps with themed icons, and car-themed avatars have proven popular with users who enjoy customising their navigation experience.
Why now: A fun new customisation option in a widely used app is drawing attention online.
