Sony Quietly Revised the PS5 Slim's Internals
Original: Sony Quietly Revised the PS5 Slim’s Internals Without Any Public Announcement
Reports say Sony has made unannounced internal revisions to the PS5 Slim, meaning consoles bought at different times may contain different components despite looking identical on the outside. Hardware watchdogs and gamers are noting that such silent part swaps are common in console manufacturing but often go undocumented, raising questions about what exactly changed and whether performance, thermals or repairability are affected.
Why now: People are discussing it because hidden hardware changes to a popular console affect buyers, repairers and modders.
