Original: Nightwatch – a Mac menu-bar app that tells you when tonight is clear https:// github.com/rsutcliffe/nightwat ch Comments
A developer has released Nightwatch, a Mac menu-bar application that tells users when conditions are clear enough for stargazing tonight. The tool lives in the menu bar and is available via the code-hosting platform. Early discussion among tech and astronomy enthusiasts is focused on how useful a simple sky-condition alert can be for planning observation sessions.
Why now: Amateur astronomers and Mac users are interested in a lightweight tool that removes the guesswork from planning nighttime stargazing.
