F1 race needed a software update before it could start

Original: F1 in Bahrain... in Malaysia: The race needed a software update to start https://arstechnica.com/cars/2026/10/f1-in-bahr

A Formula 1 race associated with Bahrain but held in Malaysia was reportedly delayed because a software update was required before the event could begin, according to Ars Technica. The headline suggests a technical fault tied to race software disrupted the start, an unusual hiccup for a sport that leans heavily on complex electronic systems. Details beyond the headline remain limited.

Why now: unclear
