The New York Times has published a negative review of 'Digger', the new film starring Tom Cruise and directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. The review argues the satire is strained and that even Cruise's star power cannot rescue it. The film's release and the harsh verdict are drawing attention from film fans discussing whether the Cruise–Iñárritu collaboration lives up to expectations.
Why now: A major newspaper has published a dismissive review of a high-profile new film pairing Tom Cruise with director Alejandro González Iñárritu.
