Belgium to send three F-16s to Ukraine this year pending French approval
Original: Three Belgian F-16s Expected to be Transfered to Ukraine This Year Pending French Approval
Belgium is expected to transfer three F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine before the end of the year, with the transfer still awaiting approval from France. The step would mark another Western aircraft delivery to Kyiv's air force as European partners continue fulfilling earlier pledges of F-16 support, though the timing now hinges on the outstanding French green light.
Why now: Ongoing Western deliveries of F-16 jets to Ukraine are a closely watched part of the war effort, and the French approval condition makes this transfer newsworthy.
