Ghana moves to establish a national space agency
Original: Ghana moves to establish space agency after cabinet approval
Ghana's cabinet has approved moves to establish a national space agency, a step that would give the West African country a dedicated body for space science, satellite development and related research. Ghana has previously been active in small satellite projects, and supporters say a formal agency would coordinate efforts and drive investment in the space sector.
Why now: Cabinet approval marks a concrete policy step toward Ghana joining the growing number of African nations with dedicated space agencies.
