NFL suspends two officials over conduct toward players
Original: NFL suspends two officials for 'unprofessional conduct' toward players during Sunday's games https://www. nfl.com/news/n
The NFL has suspended two game officials for what it called unprofessional conduct directed at players during Sunday's Week 4 games. The league announced the discipline through its official news site, an unusual step given that officials are rarely publicly sanctioned mid-season. Fans and commentators are weighing in on what the conduct involved and how the league will replace the two for upcoming assignments.
Why now: Public discipline of NFL officials is rare, making the suspension immediately newsworthy during the season.
